  1. Nicole says:

YAY!!!! I’m so jealous! My kids and I love to pop the “Wicked” soundtrack in and sing loudly. :) I need it to come to Hawai’i!

What gave me happy tears this week? Being recognized for doing a good job by a very hard-to-please supervisor at work. :)

  2. Carla says:

Way to go! I’ve never seen Wicked but I hear it’s fantastic!!

Something that gave me happy tears this week was looking at pictures of my cousin’s 3 week old daughter. It was a VERY difficult and stressful labor/delivery for both of them and things were a little touch and go for a bit but they are both doing perfect now!

  3. amy says:

Love how you did this and very clever. Very nice that @hellohahanarf gave you their ticket so you could have that date night. Made me smile. A “Wicked” smile.

  4. OHmommy says:

Awwwwwwww…. love everything about this post.

  5. You must be Irish with all that luck! :)

So glad you got to see Wicked. It is one of my FAVES of all time. And the song “Popular” is a total earworm. Love.

  6. the muskrat says:

    Awesome!
I’m lucky, too. Winning stuff rules.

  7. Alan Labovitz says:

I’m really glad you loved it. Wicked is coming to E. Lansing’s MSU Theatre season and we are taking our 16 year-old grandson to see it later in the season. It will be the second time for all of us. Many times the traveling shows which come here have many of the original Broadway cast because they now make more money touring than they do in New York. This is because of the large amount of per diem they receive on the road. It’s an outstanding program here at an outstanding facility.
I hope you get to see many more Broadway shows and perhaps will be able to take your kids.

  8. as much as i wanted to be a part of your first performance of wicked, it made my heart crazy happy to last minute surprise you with a date night. thrilled that you enjoyed your evening.
    love you.

  9. Debbie says:

My aunt loooooved Wicked, hearing about it from her made me wish I’d tried to get tickets!

I got my happy tears this week as I started my fifth week at a new job, with the news of a raise — I was so scared I wasn’t going to be good enough, but I’m rockin’ this deal like nobody’s business! :)

  10. Yay! Yay! Yippee, yay! This tale via Twitter made me smile so big!!! I’m so glad you got to see it with your man! My husband proposed after taking me to see this show so it definitely equals romance for me.

  11. No happy tears this week, but I can assure you that winning the Wicked ticket lottery would have given me the same reaction! I’ve seen it twice – once on Broadway and once on tour – and I can assure you I would be just as enthralled to see it a third time.

I’m so glad you got to go! And how sweet of Hello to give you her ticket!

  12. Very cool. I hear that the show is quite good.

  13. gabriella says:

    I LOVED WICKED.

oh my gosh. the bedroom scene was hilarious. I could not stop laughing!!! :)

  14. I think this may be my favorite post this week. I’m happy for you! And thank you for the reminder that the positive feelings you send out into the world are returned, amplified. (Maybe not always in the form of tickets for “Wicked,” but still!)
