What do you mean you have a giveaway for the soundtrack to the movie He’s Just Not That Into You, Britt?

Ah. Yes. Yes, I did. And I may have mentioned something about deadlines and missing them and dropping balls left and right. *sigh* Insert example of things falling through the crack here.
Several A few weeks ago, the lovely people at One2One Network asked if I’d be interested in reviewing the CD for the new chic flick He’s Just Not That Into You. It’s been a long time since I’ve discovered any new music, so I happily agreed. Plus, do you know how expensive music is these days?
Yes, so. I received the CD quite a while ago and have been meaning to tell you all about it, but, um, the point is I’m telling you now. Yes? (I’m also going to make it up to you by giving away some free stuff. That I’m not responsible for mailing out so you’ll actually receive it if you win. Yes.)
My thoughts on the He’s Just Not That Into You Original Motion Picture Soundtrack:
I instantly thought of the Dumb and Dumber Soundtrack. Maybe that’s weird (I’m certain it is), but I was reminded of listening to that CD way back in the day and feeling happy and bubbly and kind of new agey because the sound was just a little bit different from mainstream pop.
Of course, now I’m much older and listening to the He’s Just Not That Into You CD as a married mother of two instead of the highschool girlfriend of a football captain. I was most aware of that change when listening to Fruit Machine by The Ting Tings. It’s too light for my slightly more cynical view of the world, but still just left of mainstream enough to be interesting.
My favorite song on the CD is James Morrison’s You Make It Real
I’m a sucker for that kind of lyrical romance.
In conclusion:
Dude, you don’t me to tell you what kind of music to listen to. You can get a sampling for yourself here and decide what you like best.

I would love either. The film was fantastic and I need to get the DVD when it is out to remind myself now and again of the lessons within it. Right now it seems only the wrong and uninterested are around me.

A few years ago I was in a real rough spot in my life. I had fallen into a self-destructive lifestyle and didn’t care who I hurt in the process. My friend Adam knew I was not wanting to be like that and suggested this book to me. Of course I initially laughed and thought it was only for girls, but upon reading it I learned a lot of the bad traits I had gained weren’t my fault, but the girls I was seeing. It taught me to be open with myself, my feelings, and the people around me. No longer would I be a “Jack” or a “Brandon”, but instead an independent man. There’s no reason to play silly games when I can just tell a girl “I am not that into you!” I was able to go see the movie and loved how many of my familiar stories played out on screen. If I could win this soundtrack I would be so happy. Please, please, please pick me!

I fucking love James Morrison. I’d recommend his first album, Undiscovered over his recent one, Songs For You Truths For Me (You Make it Real is on the second) though. He’s a really, really talented guy.
