Guess Who’s Not Dead?

Who is this guy?

Of course, you probably already knew that.

But did you also know…

I’m home.

I’m unpacked.

Both kids are unpacked including having put away all of their Christmas presents.

I’m awesome.

I still haven’t gone grocery shopping.

But still – awesome.

I came home to presents from my wish list.

Seriously – how cool is the freaking Internet?????

Speaking of the Internet, this is the first time I’ve turned on my computer in about 12 days.

So I’m a weeee bit behind on all things Internet related.

And yet some how I found time to tell the Internets about working from home.

Like I said, awesome.

Did you know all that?

Do you know who that guy is that I’m strangling up there?

  1. Nobody™ says:

Welcome back. Hope you had a great trip and the shitty Iowa weather didn’t traumatize you.

  2. Dawn says:

    YAY!!! You’re back!!!!

I don’t know who you’re strangling, but it looks like you’re both enjoying it. Who am I to judge? Huh?

  3. Dawn says:

Oh, and big congrats on the work from home thing. From one work from homer to another, here’s a word of advice: buy more pajamas.

  4. Honeybell says:

I’d love to work at home. But then I’d have all those damned sick people here.

Making a wild guess . . . is that your oldest brother?

  5. Neil says:

    Happy New Year!

  6. vodkamom says:

Welcome home!! Happy New year and all that shit.

  7. Poppy says:

I have no idea who that is, but he looks like the chief of police at my old job.

    Welcome home! :)

  8. whall says:

    Is that Brett Favre?

  9. NYCWD says:

I have to wonder… how much did the airline charge you for all those extra presents???

That photo… looks like a brother… he’s got the same look as you do when someone hugs up on you and you’re all like, “Yep. I’m a superstar. Hug me now ’cause you can’t take me with ya.”

    Awesome.

  10. I’m not sure I could go that long w/o the laptop. I tried once, when I was hiking in Alaska in August, and it did permanent damage.

  11. Becky says:

    Welcome back! Happy New Year!

  12. I missed you!
And I’m guessing an older brother too!
    xo

  13. Crys says:

    welcome back, pretty lady!

  14. Dee says:

    Welcome home!

    I’m going Christmas pimp – it’s the stubble that’s got me convinced…

  15. Robin says:

    Welcome Back – I say that’s a brother…

  16. Stephanie says:

Welcome home, Britt. Has to be a brother…

  17. Donna says:

    welcome back! I’m guessing that’s a brother.

  18. Hilly says:

You may have thought I was kidding yesterday but I seriously meant it about everything being normal now that you are back. I was feeling guilty about not blogging but in my mind I said, “Well when Britt gets back, then I’ll put my shit back to normal”.

Thanks for being my litmus. ;)

  19. Stephanie says:

Hey…congratulations on placing on MomDot’s Top 50 mommy bloggers of 2008! YOU RANKED HIGHER THAN DOOCE!!!!

And that, my friend, makes me so happy I could piss myself.

  20. Faiqa says:

I don’t know who the guy is, I’m well aware of how awesome you are… but, GODDAMN you look skinny in that picture. Proof that carbs are, in fact, evil.

  21. Sarah says:

I’m glad you made back home and everything is unpacked and all that jazz.

I haven’t been blogging much either, but that’s because I’m waiting to not be sick anymore so I have something better to write about. I’m pretty sure no one wants to know that I can’t breathe out of my nose.

Okay that went on a weird tangent, so yay your back. Ahem.

  22. Courtney says:

Welcome back! And wow, that is amazing that you got all that done!

  23. oh my fuck, do you look skinny. are you eating at all???!?!!

also? is that your brother? is he single? tell him i said heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey.

  24. Miss Britt says:

Nobody™: didn’t traumatize me – but DID make me happy to be back in Florida, I can’t lie. :-)

Dawn: well, one of us anyway. LOL

Honeybell: well it’s someone’s oldest brother – so that was a good guess.

    Neil: you too!

    vodkamom: ditto

    Poppy: ohhhh that’s ironic

whall: yes. That’s Brett Favre. At my Christmas.

    SURPRISE!

NYCWD: is that what I do when I’m hugged?? No way!

The airline didn’t charge us anything extra because I prepaid for three bags – bought 3 ginormous suitcases – and took full advantage of the carry on allowance.

Maria: LOL, ah it’s good to be missed.

Father Muskrat: I brought the laptop, too – but just never felt like sitting down to get on it for long.

    Becky: thanks!

Princess of the Universe: you know, my family could learn a lot from you people about the missing business! xo

Crys: and now YOU are leaving. *Sob*

    Dee: nope. Brett Favre.

    Robin: it is A Brother.

Stephanie: I don’t think he looks like ME though.

Donna: it was the strangling that gave it away, isn’t it?

Hilly: and this still makes me mushy to read.

By the way – everyone in Parkersburg now knows about your awesomeness. And also, possibly, the knighting. Ahem.

Stephanie: JEEZ – that DOES sound pretty freaking awesome! Thanks!

Faiqa: I need to pose like that more often then. I’m like um… let’s just say wayyyy over my normal weight in that picture.

Sarah: aww, I’m sorry you’re sick kiddo. :-(

    DutchBitch: thank you!

Courtney: I was a productive little bunny yesterday.

hello haha narf: he is single, actually. And closer to your age than mine. And? One of my most favoritest people in the entire freaking world.

And regarding being skinny? I gained 10 lbs while I was in Iowa, so you and Faiqa must be smoking the crack. But it’s some good crack!

  25. No wonder Orlando was so cold while I was there last week.

    Happy New Year, Ms. B.

  26. Am I the first one to guess that it’s Jared’s brother? I think it’s all about the chin.

  27. Brett Favre says:

It’s nice to see someone captured me returning your hug with what appears to be all the warmth of an ironing board. As Britt would say “no wonder you don’t have a girlfriend”

  28. It’s good to know that people you like are not dead.

Happy stuff and junk, lady. ;-)

Btw, I hope you liked how I tweeted about you sending out the old year and welcoming the new one by packing fudge.

Oh, you missed that b/c you were offline?

    That’ll teach you.
